Post processor
Sharpen your planetary images
The post-processor helps you bring out detail in your astrophotography. Works great on stacked planetary images, but you can also load any image directly. All processing runs locally in your browser.
Features
Wavelet sharpening
Sharpening that brings out surface details. Includes denoise to reduce noise (by blurring again, weird!). Works on luminance only to avoid color noise.
Unsharp mask
Another sharpening option. Sometimes works better than wavelets, sometimes worse. Try both!
Color adjustments
Tweak brightness, contrast, gamma, and saturation. Vibrance is like saturation but gentler on already-colorful areas.
RGB alignment
Fixes the colored fringes you get from atmospheric dispersion. Auto-detect usually works, or nudge the channels manually.
Auto stretch
Automatically adjusts black and white points to use the full brightness range. Great starting point before manual tweaking.
Rotation and crop
Straighten things up and cut off the messy edges.
Edge mask
Removes chromatic aberration fringes around planets by masking everything outside a circle with the true background color.
16-bit processing
Every image is processed in 16-bit, so adjustments are more precise and you won't lose detail.
